Vibrant News Analysis

Write for us

We welcome pitches that explain a lasting feature of news reporting or help readers make sense of how a story is presented and circulated. Send proposals through the Contact page; unsolicited drafts are not required.

What to pitch

Propose one focused subject in news literacy: for example, a reporting convention, a framing choice, a newsroom role, a format or a change in how news reaches people. A strong pitch explains the reader's question and the central point the piece would make.

What makes a useful proposal

Keep the idea specific, explain why it will remain useful beyond one news cycle, and note what evidence or examples the piece would need. Avoid pitches that depend on unverified allegations, confidential material, invented access or a claim that one headline tells the whole story.

How to send it

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial option. Include a working title, a short outline, the intended reader and any relevant links or source notes. Do not send sensitive personal information. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we may not be able to reply to every pitch.
